Orrin hatch
Senator Orrin Hatch voted in favor of the massive $700 billion Wall Street bailout known as TARP (Troubled Asset Relief Program). Many people consider the TARP bailout to be one of the worst cases of crony capitalism in the history of the United States, while others question its effectiveness. The banks who received the billions in bailout funds didn't see the program as a way to increase lending, but rather as a windfall to allow them to make investments and pay off debt. The nation's largest banks were given billions of dollars while the small, local banks were allowed to fail at an alarming rate.

Orrin Hatch has since apologized for the vote and in almost the same breath said that he would vote for it again.

Senator Hatch's vote on the TARP bailout is just one vote in his long record. To find out more, check out a new 42 page booklet put out by FreedomWorks for America to educate voters on Hatch's 36 year record:  http://www.freedomworksforamerica.org/hatch-facts
